The Self-Other Game

2009–2011

The self-other game is a psychological experiment designed to measure the value people to others, relative to the value they assign to themselves. In this experiment, players make a series of decisions to give money to themselves or to an anonymous stranger. As they play, an adaptive algorithm attempts to find the point at which players are equally likely to make either decision.
